As from the middle of August 2015 there is a keepnet ban on the Brighouse Fisheries at Brookfoot until further notice. Fear of the carp herpes virus has led us to take this drastic action.

Rest in Peace Christopher Thomas Johnson 1937-2015
A member of our Association for 65 years and ticket secretary for 32.Chris was a part time singer and entertainer. A cheerful and flamboyant character and a gentleman who was able to make a difficult job look easy.

COOPER BRIDGE CUT (new) is the section of the calder - Hebble navigation that flows under the A62 at cooper bridge the length extends the clubs river calder stretch upstream. Please note it is jointly held with Bradford No1 AA pegs are not marked and members need to be aware of boat moorings and some steep banks downstream of the bridge. Fishing for roach, perch and chub with good pike in the winter too. Access to a new car park in the bounds of the sewage works upstream is by means of a movable but locked post - Key available on deposit from Calder Anglers and must be returned after fishing. The car park is shared with Bradford no 1 AA and Mirfield Angling Club.
